CCSJ Love Stories | Liz & Adam’s House with the Blue Door

When Liz, Adam, their son Bridger, and their sun-loving cat Iggy bought their home in Folsom with The CCSJ Team’s Benjamin Camp in December, it didn’t take long for them to make it their own. From pizza nights on the back porch to story time at the Ridley Township Library, they’ve already woven themselves into the fabric of the neighborhood. With cozy corners, bold colors, and the smell of something always simmering in the crockpot, their home radiates warmth, connection, and realness—just like the family who lives there.

What made you decide that this house was “the one?”
Honestly? We came for the open house because it was near the pretzel place. But the moment we stepped inside, we fell for the seamless indoor/outdoor living, the cozy reading nook, and the welcoming vibe of the neighborhood. Everything just felt right.

Why this neighborhood?
After moving to DelCo, we realized we naturally spent most of our time in Ridley Township—library visits, favorite restaurants, coffee runs, even our go-to hair salon. As newcomers, this community made it easy to feel at home and make friends with other families.

Where were you before?
We lived in South Philly for years before renting in Norwood for two. It was our “trial run” of suburban life—and we were hooked.

How did you meet?
We were both in Philly’s theater community and had loads of mutual friends, always orbiting around each other. When we both went back to school for social work, those same friends gave us the nudge we needed—and the rest is history.

What’s your favorite room in the house?
No contest: the back porch. It’s Bridger’s favorite place for pizza nights, and Iggy’s prime sunbathing spot.

Any favorite local spots you’ve discovered?
Rosemary’s has become our go-to for date nights and happy hours with friends. We’re also big fans of Lux and Roses salon. You’ll find us at the Ridley Township Library several times a week—Bridger usually checks out at least a dozen books, DVDs, and Yoto cards. And Relish, with its nostalgic birch beer, gives Liz a warm reminder of Central PA.

What’s one thing you can’t live without in your home?
In South Philly, we were spoiled with coffee shops on every corner. So when we moved, we treated ourselves to a fancy Ninja coffee station—and haven’t looked back.

What have you done to make the house your own? Any plans?
The previous owners had amazing taste—we loved their color choices and style. Now we’re dreaming of planting cucumbers, peppers, and herbs in the backyard.

What were your non-negotiables when searching for a home?
Outdoor space was a must—something manageable but not overwhelming. This yard struck the perfect balance.

How would you describe your home style?
Cozy and natural. We love warm wood tones, bold colors, fuzzy blankets, smelly candles, a cat to cuddle, a kiddo to chase, a record spinning, and a crockpot simmering something good.

What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
If you ask Bridger, it’s Moose—the neighbor’s dog and his absolute favorite.

How was your home-buying experience?
We truly couldn’t have asked for better. As first-time homebuyers and parents navigating a challenging market, we were overwhelmed—but Ben and his team were with us every step of the way. His insight, optimism, and steady guidance helped us see potential where we might have missed it. The warmth and love left behind by the previous owners was palpable, and we felt it the moment we walked in. We're off to a beautiful start.

Describe your home in 3 words:
Cozy. Friendly. Real.
