CCSJ Love Stories | Allison & Eric’s Vision Comes to Life

Written by Cécile Steinriede

Some client stories start in the most unexpected ways.

I first connected with Eric and Allison thanks to Eric’s mom, who stopped me while I was mowing the lawn and watering pansies in front of a vacant Ardmore listing (yes, sometimes we really do it all). She was house-hunting on their behalf.

That particular home was a stretch financially, but when Eric and Allison came to see it — with little Miriam toddling around and keeping everyone on their toes — I knew we were a great match. When these two walk into a house, they don't see walls; they see possibilities. In each house we visited, I could see the projects they were already imagining.

After a few offers (we were in the bidding war vortex of the summer of 2024), we landed the right one. And just months after moving in, surprise! Baby Vinny joined the party,  which may have adjusted renovation timelines, but certainly not their vision.

Since then, they’ve repainted the entire house, swapped out light fixtures, added built-ins that somehow make the rooms feel bigger (counterintuitive but genius), and installed a fence around the perimeter — because Piper, their older dog, and toddlers need boundaries.

Some projects took a couple of tries. All of them were worth it. Their home now feels exactly like them: thoughtful, welcoming, full of energy and love.

I couldn’t be happier for Eric, Allison, Miriam, and little Vinny. Watching them grow into this house, and watching the house grow with them is the ultimate reward for me!
